What To Expect

From the moment you pull into the parking lot at Dexter Baptist you will be made to feel at home.  There will be one of our friendly family members to greet you and help you find everything you need, and help direct you to where you are going. If you have children, they will also direct you to our nursery or to our children's area. After checking in your kids, one of our Sunday School greeters will also help you find the right Sunday School class for you and your family.
We strive to create a friendly, and comfortable environment to worship in. We won't make you wear a visitor badge, stand up, or stand out in any way. We want you to feel free to worship with us without being singled out.  We do ask that you please complete a guest information slip attached to our bulletin so we have a record of your visit.  We ask that you please take it and complete as much information as you feel comfortable and turn it in when the offering plates are passed.  This is our way to communicate with you and get to know you better.

You will find varied dress at worship.  Some wear jackets and ties and dresses.  Some will wear blue jeans.  Come to worship God in whatever you desire to wear.

Worship Style:
Worship is our expression of love for the God who came to save us.  We are traditional in worship style, yet sing some praise hymns.  Our choir leads our worship in song and sets the tone for the time.

Sermon Style:  We believe that God's Word is paramount to all that we do and how our life is to be lived.  Therefore, our pastor preaches in expository style, meaning that we take the biblical text and draw out the true meaning of the text and how to apply it to our life.
